Today, as we mark the International Day of Girls in ICT 2026 under the theme “AI for Development: Girls Shaping the Digital Future,” we are proud to spotlight the real impact of our work through the Young Women’s Coding and Leadership Training (YOWCL).
From learning basic digital skills to exploring web development and digital tools, many of our participants have gone on to make bold decisions about their future. We are especially excited to spotlight these young women who, after participating in YOWCL, have taken the next step to pursue a BSc in Computer Science at the university level.
They are not only continuing their education in technology but are positioning themselves to contribute to innovation, problem-solving, and the growing digital economy.
As we look to a future shaped by AI and digital transformation, we remain committed to ensuring that girls are not left behind, but are equipped to lead and shape that future.
